Electrical Project Manager – Gas Peaking Project Thurrock, Essex About the Role We are seeking an experienced and driven Electrical Project Manager (LV) to oversee the incell electrical construction works on a fast-paced Gas Peaking Project in Thurrock, Essex. This role is critical in ensuring the successful delivery of all low-voltage electrical systems within the plant, from planning through to commissioning. Key Responsibilities Project Management * Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of all LV and upto 11KV electrical construction activities within the incell scope. * Manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of electrical works. * Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards. Scheduling and Coordination * Work closely with planners to align electrical works with the overall construction programme. * Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems. * Attend and contribute to daily site coordination meetings Technical Oversight * Review and approve electrical designs, installation methods, and technical submissions. * Ensure all LV installations meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. * Support the QA/QC team with inspections, test plans, and documentation. Documentation and Reporting * Maintain accurate records of progress, issues, and changes. * Prepare and submit regular progress reports, risk registers, and lookaheads. * Support the completions process, including check sheets, redlines, and handover packs. Stakeholder Engagement * Liaise with the client, DNO, and internal teams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, and quality. * Manage and resolve technical queries (TQs), non-conformances, and site issues. Requirements * Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or related discipline. * Proven experience managing electrical works on energy or large industrial / process plant projects. * Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills. * Familiarity with relevant standards (BS7671, IET Wiring Regulations, etc.). * CSCS/ECS card and SMSTS or equivalent site safety certification. Desirable * Experience with gas engines, EFW or renewable energy systems. * Knowledge of commissioning processes and DNO interface requirements. * Proficiency in project management tools
