About the RoleTradewind Recruitment are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to work in a variety of secondary schools across the Wellingborough area. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced education professionals looking to gain hands-on classroom experience.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher
* Deliver pre-set work and ensure a productive learning environment
* Maintain strong classroom behaviour management
* Support students with their learning where required
* Follow school policies and procedures at all times
Requirements
* Previous experience working with young people (education, coaching, youth work, etc.)
* Strong communication and classroom management skills
* A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
* A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
* Degree-level education (desirable but not essential)
