PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTION
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of machinery, equipment, and facilities. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and carrying out repairs to prevent downtime and ensure a safe working environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Review job orders to determine work priorities.
* Schedule repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
* Perform preventive maintenance in conjunction with operations.
* Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings while installing or repairing equipment.
* Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols while performing maintenance tasks.
* Maintain and update maintenance logs and records for compliance and auditing purposes.
* Use hand tools, power tools, hoist, crane, and measuring and testing instruments.
* Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment,
* Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints.
* Install or repair automated machinery and equipment.
* Set up and operate machine tools, such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs and fixtures, to make and repair parts.
* Operate cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
* Repair or replace defective parts.
* Lubricate and clean parts.
* Initiate purchase order for parts and machines.
* Conduct routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
* Address facility maintenance issues such as leaks, malfunctions, or general wear and tear.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES
Education
* High School Diploma
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of experience in heavy industrial manufacturing repair.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
* Standing and/or walking 100%
* Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
* Requires using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls
* Ability to view computer monitor
* Occasional alpha/numeric keyboarding
