GSL Education are seeking motivated and resilient Criminology Graduates to work in schools across Newcastle Upon Tyne.
As a Criminology Graduate, you will support students in managing behaviour, improving engagement, and developing positive relationships within the school environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Criminology Graduate to build experience working with young people, particularly those who may present behavioural or social challenges.
Main Responsibilities of a Criminology Graduate:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support for students
* Support students with behavioural, social, and emotional needs
* Assist in managing challenging behaviour using appropriate strategies
* Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement support plans
* Help students overcome barriers to learning and engagement
* Build strong, positive relationships with students to encourage progress
* Monitor and report on student behaviour and development
* Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements of a Criminology Graduate:
* A degree in Criminology or a related field
* Interest in behaviour management, safeguarding, and youth support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Experience in education, youth work, or care settings is desirable
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
