The Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Management Accountant
to join a busy finance team. This role will support the preparation, development, and analysis of financial information to ensure that business-critical strategic decisions are based on accurate and reliable data.
Key Responsibilities
* Preparation of accruals and prepayments
* Month-end journals and bank reconciliations
* Maintenance of the fixed assets register
* Supporting the preparation of monthly and weekly management accounts
* Providing commentary and analysis on results
* Assisting in the annual budget process and forecasting
* Reporting and analysis of both financial and non-financial indicators
* Identifying and investigating anomalies and data trends
* Supporting continuous improvement of site performance
* Balancing monthly balance sheet entries including fixed assets and stocks
* Liaising with head office functions to gather information for product costing
* Producing accurate product costings and analysis to support senior management decisions
Candidate Profile
* Qualified or part-qualified accountant with at least 1 year of management accounting experience
* Proficient in
Sage 200
(desirable)
* Advanced spreadsheet and Excel skills
* Strong financial and analytical ability
* Highly motivated with an inquisitive nature
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a wider finance team
* Organised, with the ability to work to strict timelines
