Key Tasks and Responsibilities: Work with all stakeholders to create a positive, child-centred environment across all Women’s and Girls Sport within NFFC (Football & Netball). Be a regular, visible presence at the training sessions and other sites as appropriate to ensure good safeguarding practise and to be a point of contact for queries or concerns. This includes regular weekends and evenings to cover matches and training sessions. Help to ensure that the Premier League, England Netball & WSL standards are met by promoting and championing all safeguarding policy and procedures. Quality assure and provide feedback on practises involving children and young across the club. Identify strengths and weaknesses to inform workforce development plans. Support the development and delivery of safeguarding resource materials and safeguarding training and induction sessions. Manage safeguarding cases and concerns as appropriate when reported by staff or stakeholders with support of the Head of Safeguarding. Ensure all information is accurate, confidential and up-to-date and captured and monitored on MyConcern. Attend SWEP (Safeguarding, Wellbeing, Education and Psychology) Team meetings on an ad-hoc basis to ensure a holistic and multi-disciplinary approach to case management. Provide guidance, advice and support to all staff, volunteers and associates of the organisation in relation to safeguarding concerns and queries. Support the Player and Parent Voice initiatives involving capturing feedback from stakeholders and presenting it to colleagues as required. Maintain player information confidentiality and professional boundaries acting within professional codes of conduct and scope of practice at all times. Collaborate with Facilities, Operations, Stewarding and Security teams to promote and protect the health and safety of children and young people at the Club. Attend matches both First Team Men’s, Women’s Football and Netball when required as part of the safeguarding response team. Keep own safeguarding knowledge, skills and qualifications up to date. To act, at all times, in a manner appropriate to a representative of Nottingham Forest FC. Skills, Experience and Knowledge: Essential: FA Safeguarding Children or equivalent. Understanding of Safeguarding policies and procedures. Experience of safeguarding and working with children, ideally in an elite sport or education environment. Experience in contributing to the design, delivery and evaluation of education and development interventions for individuals and groups. Experience of working and contributing to a team environment by collaborating with others. Ability to build strong relationships with players, parents and other stakeholders. Excellent presentation, planning and communication skills. Ability to engage and communicate with people of all ages, especially young elite athletes. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with the ability to multi-task and balance conflicting demands. Flexible, caring and a non-judgmental approach and attitude. Desirable: Previous experience in a safeguarding role in football. A recognised qualification in Safeguarding. Knowledge of roles and responsibilities of local statutory agencies (social services, police, and local safeguarding children board). FA Welfare Officer training.
