We Are Recruiting for a HV Cable Jointer ▶ Salary: typical earnings of £60,000 made up of basic salary, overtime, and travel time ▶ Job type: Full time and Permanent This opportunity has arisen from our ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector. We are looking for an HV Cable Jointer. As part of the Operations Team, you will be responsible for carrying out HV cable jointing and terminations in line with Powersystems' strategy. Duties and responsibilities of the role include, but not limited to: ▶ To carry out HV cable jointing and terminations on 11 kV and 33 kV (Experience on higher voltages desirable but not essential) ▶ To carry out earthing and cable installations ▶ To help electricians and other trades on larger installations ▶ Being able to take the role as Installation lead on projects, reporting to the Site Manager and Project Manager ▶ Mentoring and coaching less experienced staff and apprentices in developing their knowledge and skills ▶ Assist with site breakdowns and investigative procedures ▶ Carry out work in a safe manner, adhering to health and safety procedures at all times ▶ Act as a competent person to receive safety documentation ▶ Take personal ownership and responsibility of any company property entrusted to you ▶ Contribute to the future success of Powersystems UK and its clients ▶ Proactively look at ways to enhance the service offered by the business, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of company processes ▶ Uphold a professional image, contribute to Powersystems' success, and proactively improve services and efficiency. ▶ Embrace and demonstrate the Company’s 5 core Principles of: PriorityNo.1 – Health, Safety and Well-being, Professionalism, Pride, Partnership and Proactive Here’s what you need to be successful in the role: ▶ Experience of working on Construction sites ▶ Must hold JIB approved ECS card ▶ Experience working on Commercial and Industrial installations ▶ Ability to work proactively on own or as part of a team ▶ Must hold a full UK driving licence ▶ Proven attention to detail and able to demonstrate good oral and written communication skills ▶ A team player with a confident and enthusiastic attitude ▶ Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English. ▶ Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team. ▶ Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays, and holds a full UK driving licence. Desirable criteria: ▶ Experience of working within the electrical power sector desirable ▶ Open to change, resilient and proactive Salary and benefits: ▶ Highly competitive salary depending on experience and qualifications.
