Role Purpose & Summary
Responsible for leading the strategic planning, seamless organisation and execution of a wide variety of internal and external events that connect colleagues, strengthen culture, and deliver measurable business value across Belron UK, the wider Belron® group and external third parties.
Responsibilities
* Plan, create, implement and maintain an annual events plan on an on-going basis
* Act as an internal consultant for Leaders across Belron UK, supporting with planning local events, providing advice, guidance and ‘hands on’ support where necessary, while championing events as a tool to reinforce Belron UK’s values and culture.
* Ensure all events, that the role is responsible for, are designed and delivered to support Belron UK’s strategic priorities, enhance colleague engagement, and drive measurable business outcomes.
* Work with key stakeholders, including the Executive and Senior Leadership teams to determine event requirements, taking into consideration the differing requirements of each event, and propose viable options and ideas for final sign‑off.
* Undertake the planning and logistics for large‑scale Internal Communication events, such as the People Leaders Conference, Best of Belron event and Spirit of Belron Challenge.
* Work with the procurement team to ensure ‘best value’ from third parties/suppliers in the management of the events programme for Belron UK.
* Act as the go‑to person and key point of contact for external parties and third‑party suppliers with whom Belron® UK Ltd has regular contact and/or ongoing relationships in order to successfully deliver events.
* Instruct and manage external vendors and suppliers, ensuring quality and value standards are maintained.
* Propose, manage and ensure adherence to budgets for events, escalating potential overspend as appropriate.
* Evaluate event success through feedback, engagement metrics, and business impact reporting to continuously improve future events.
* Attend site visits where necessary, ensuring facilities meet the requirements for the event.
* Some administrative tasks, including invites, managing RSVPs, reviewing attendee lists and managing event materials such as name badges, recognition etc.
* Work in collaboration with Belron® on any group events held in the UK.
Skills And Experience
* Outstanding organisational skills, with high attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple events at any one time.
* Good interpersonal and influencing skills – a proactive collaborator who is effective at communicating with, and positively influencing, people of all levels.
* Accountable, with the ability to take ownership and work with minimal supervision, also directing others to deliver on specific aspects of event management.
* Driven, with the ability to overcome problems in new and creative ways.
* Confident and capable of negotiating with external suppliers, progress chasing as needed.
* Advanced PowerPoint skills – can create professional presentations.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to align event planning to business goals and cultural priorities.
* Experience in evaluating event impact through qualitative and quantitative measures.
* Willing to travel and stay away from home, as appropriate, when organising large events.
* Previous experience of events management and coordination, both internally and with external parties.
