A family-owned operation with multiple sites, theyve built a strong brand over the years and continue to grow within their industry. They now require a confident and capable Bookkeeper to join the team and play a key role in the ongoing success of the business. The Role This is a standalone position, reporting directly to the Directors of the business, where you will take full ownership of the day-to-day finance function. You will manage all transactional finance tasks and support broader accounting responsibilities, working closely with external accountants. Key responsibilities include: Processing purchase and sales invoices Posting journals and maintaining ledgers Weekly supplier payment runs and remittances Allocating customer and supplier payments, including cash transactions Bank reconciliations and petty cash management Preparing and submitting VAT returns Producing quarterly management accounts Handling intercompany transactions and reconciliations Liaising with external accountants and HMRC Using Sage Line 50 and Excel for financial reporting and analysis Ideal Candidate Youll have proven bookkeeping experience, confidence working independently in a standalone role, and strong interpersonal skills.
