C&I Wire Person / Panel Builder12 Month Contract - £26/hr - In-ScopeAbingdonWe're looking for an experienced C&I Wire Person / Panel Builder to join a highly technical engineering environment supporting advanced control and instrumentation systems across a major operational facility.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong panel wiring, assembly and fault-finding experience who enjoys hands-on technical work across both workshop and live plant environments.As The C&I Wire PersonYou'll support the build, maintenance, testing and repair of a wide range of control and instrumentation systems, working closely with engineering and operational teams on complex technical equipment.Key responsibilities include:Carrying out wiring, assembly and panel build activities for C&I systemsSupporting fault finding and repair work on instrumentation and control equipmentBuilding, testing and commissioning electrical cubicles, sub-racks, assemblies and electronic cardsPerforming bench testing and on-site fault finding activitiesSupporting Plant Responsible Officers (PROs) with maintenance and technical tasksProducing and maintaining technical documentation and safe systems of workTaking ownership of technical delivery and ensuring work is completed safely and accuratelyUndertaking delicate electrical work including thermocouple connectionsExperienceApprentice trained with industrial electrical experienceExperience working on 3-phase power systems within an industrial environmentStrong panel wiring and control system assembly experienceC&G 2330 Level 3 in Electrotechnical Technology or equivalentONC/HNC in Electrical or Electronic Engineering also considered18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualificationAbility to read and work from engineering drawings and schematicsDesirable ExperienceExperience within highly regulated or technical engineering environmentsExposure to instrumentation systems and industrial controlsFault finding on control panels and electronic assembliesExperience producing technical and safety documentationThis role would suit candidates from sectors such as manufacturing, nuclear, aerospace, defence, automation, power generation or specialist engineering environments.If you're a skilled C&I Wire Person or Panel Builder looking for your next long-term contract opportunity, apply now.Services advertised by Gold Group are those of an Agency and/or an Employment Business.We will contact you within the next 14 days if you are selected for interview.
