Job Description
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Commis Chef in Broughton, United Kingdom We're looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented individual to assist in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
* Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the head chef and sous chef
* Ensure adherence to food safety standards throughout all food preparation processes
* Manage assigned station, overseeing production of food items and maintaining cleanliness
* Uphold high-quality standards for all food handled, focusing on presentation and taste
* Collaborate effectively with team members and provide support to colleagues as needed
* Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring equipment is in good working order
* Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies
* Contribute to menu development and suggest improvements to existing dishes
* Adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Commis Chef or demonstrated passion for culinary arts
* Knowledge of various cooking techniques and cuisines
* Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
* Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
* Effective communication and teamwork abilities
* Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
* Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes
* Willingness to learn and grow in a professional kitchen setting
* Positive attitude and ability to remain calm under pressure
