TotalMec Estimating Services is seeking an experienced
Estimating Electrical Manager
to join our team in
Stoke‑sub‑Hamdon, Somerset
. This is a key leadership role supporting the continued growth of our electrical estimating operations across the UK. We're looking for someone commercially driven, detail‑focused, and confident managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and grow an electrical estimating team
* Lead, mentor, and support existing and future team members
* Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications
* Prepare accurate cost estimates and competitive bids
* Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams
* Ensure compliance with UK electrical regulations and industry standards
* Identify risks, value‑engineering opportunities, and cost efficiencies
* Support senior management with forecasting and strategic planning
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience in electrical estimating within the UK construction/M&E sector
* Strong knowledge of UK electrical standards including BS 7671
* Ability to price projects from small works to large‑scale installations
* Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
* Strong communication and leadership skills
* Proficiency with estimating software and digital take‑off tools
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
