Commercial Senior Manager (EMEA Commercial Lead) Job ID 217785 Posted 02-May-2025 Service line PJM Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Building Surveying/Consultancy, Project Management, Quantity Surveying Location(s) London - England - United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland About the Role: On-account Role: EMEA Commercial Lead Reports To: EMEA PjM Director Location: London Position Purpose As a CBRE/T&T Sr. Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Commercial relationship with an existing client (on-account), as well as leading a team responsible for leading capital projects planning and commercial management support to all EMEA projects and workstreams including taking a lead on capital planning. You will work with and support the EMEA PJM/PMO team in managing and reporting the commercial performance of all capital projects, leading on annual capital planning, commercial initiatives (e.g. benchmarking, procurement etc.) and continuous improvement across all EMEA projects and workstreams. Responsible for compiling financial reports and summarizing analysis; ensure the completeness and accuracy of data/information received and produced What You'll Do: - Lead a Commercial team working within a client environment with 2 core objectives: flawless delivery of projects and programmes aligned to best in industry norms and also continuous support of client teams in their day to day requirements of our Commercial team - Lead the team of Commercial Managers and external cost/commercial delivery support - Strategic commercial and procurement advice and support to Morgan Stanley stakeholders - Support the EMEA PjM lead and projects teams (including CBRE and external cost managers) on reporting monthly projects' commercial performance - Leading the compilation of financial and project's data from multiple sources and databases - Support the UK and Global team on annual capital planning - Support the PjM lead on tracking changes in preparation for monthly project reporting - Coordinate and lead project support on all necessary data inputs and integrity - Review project budgets/estimates to ensure accuracy of cost type allocations and commitments/spends (Capital v Expense) - Review accuracy of financial close out forms - Support PjM data excellence, review data accuracy across various systems - Assist in gatekeeping CBRE's KPIs - Ensure compliance with processes in accordance to GSA and CBRE's guidelines - Networking of CBRE EMEA commercial teams to ensure up to date market rates are maintained - Build a benchmarking database to maintain a relevant estimating tool for all project types - Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the job discipline - Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned to support the team What You'll Need: - Demonstrable Strategic leadership capabilities with experience in leading diverse internal and external commercial teams - Evidence considerable experience in daily interactions with clients and senior leadership with appropriate "soft" people and leadership skills - Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent combination of education and work experience - Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) - Minimum ten (10) years' experience related to all aspects of leading complex Commercial/Cost Management teams in relation to Project Management or Quantity Surveying - Strong financial/analytical skills - Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability - Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel - Excellent verbal/written communication (English), negotiation and presentation skills - Proven record of excellent internal and external customer service - Ability to engage the organization, the customer and key stakeholders and establish a high level of credibility - Willing to work in a diverse team environment - Strategic thinker with a strong action/results orientation - Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively and establish priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced team environment Disclaimer: Please be advised that effective January 1, 2025, CBRE Project Management and Turner &Townsend were consolidated into a single global business entity.
