Job Description
3 Point Recruitment are hiring an Accounts Assistant to join an ever growing business based in Nuneaton. Our client is offering a salary around £30k (potentially negotiable on experience) plus the inclusion of study support, on site parking & an employee assistance programme.
Suitable candidates will be enthusiastic, willing to learn & able to fit well into the companies very well established finance team. The business works 37.5 hours per week and this is fully office based but there is of course flexibility offered if anything pops up that you can't avoid.
Requirements
1. Manage day to day financial records including the cashbook, sales ledger and purchase ledger
2. Oversee purchase ledger payments and monitor cash flow to support effective financial planning
3. Maintain and update the fixed asset register
4. Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns
5. Support the credit controller during peak times
6. Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations to ensure accuracy and reliability of financial accounts
7. Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts
8. Provide financial analysis and reporting to support business decision making
9. Support the Finance Manager and Finance Director with ad hoc tasks and projects as required
Suitable Candidates Will Have / Be
10. Experience using Sage & MS Excel
11. Have some form of accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA, CIMA but this isn't essential and those with relevant experience will of course be considered
12. For those who are studying, the business offer study support upon passing your probation period!
13. Have experience of working within a small finance team previously, ideally within an SME
14. Be personable & a good team player
