JOB: Field Service Engineer
LOCATION: London
TERM: Permanent
SALARY: GBP 30,000 - GBP 37,000 per annum, dependent on experience
My client is a manufacturer of a variety of products for the retail sector. They are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their expanding team based in the London area on a permanent basis.
The Field Service Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
* Approximately 5–10 years' relevant experience in a servicing role
* Understanding of Auto-Electrics and some mechanical skills
* Experience servicing small vehicles such as Dock Levers, forklifts, Industrial Compactors or similar would be beneficial
* Experience with Hydraulics is needed for this role
* Great communication and customer service skills
* Flexible with working hours Monday to Friday
* Team player who is passionate about their work
* Happy to travel on a field basis approx. 80% of the time
* Holds a full UK driving licence
Note: The Field Service Engineer Role Will Involve is included in the responsibilities section below.
Responsibilities
* Repair and maintenance of mechanical/retail equipment
* General maintenance
* Electro-Mechanical maintenance and repair
* Around 20% of work at the company base and 80% servicing
* Developing strong relationships with customers
Qualifications and Requirements
* Relevant experience in field service or maintenance roles as outlined above
* Ability to perform electro-mechanical maintenance and repairs
* Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time)
* Full UK driving licence
