Our local authority are looking for Electricians to join them. Location – Leicestershire Overall Purpose of Role: To Carry out quality, Customer Focused Repairs, Maintenance and Improvement work to Leicester City Council Properties and other buildings. Key Job Activities: * Undertakes a range of repairs and maintenance tasks of a core trade to the agreed quality and performance standards, Including enabling and finishing works. * Undertakes assessment of repairs and maintenance work required and takes appropriate action to rectify; aiming to achieve ‘Right first Time’ service to all customers. * Determines and arranges appropriate and value for money resources required to complete repairs & maintenance and remove any waste * Actively manages the stock of parts and equipment on vehicles to ensure the most efficient completion of work * Works with colleagues and others to resolve or notify of issues arising e.g., regarding outstanding repairs, rechargeable items, breaches of tenancy conditions, safeguarding * Directs and supervises apprentices and other assigned trainees * Cleans and tidies following repairs & refurbishment work * Liaises with service customers before, during and after repair & refurbishment work, to ensure the least possible inconvenience, including agreeing suitable appointments * Carry out other miscellaneous duties associated with the role Skills required: 18th Edition Qualification Initial and Periodic Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations (2391-52) City and Guilds 2382:2018 (18th Edition of the wiring regulations) Inspect, testing and certification of electrical installations as stated in BS 7671
