We are recruiting for a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Willenhall that supports pupils who have faced challenges in mainstream education. About the CentreThis specialist provision offers a safe, structured environment for pupils who have experienced barriers to learning. The focus is on re-engaging pupils with the National Curriculum, improving behaviour, and developing social and emotional skills to prepare them for future success.
About the PupilsYou will teach primary-aged pupils working to National Curriculum levels, who require additional support due to:
1. Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
2. Behavioural challenges linked to trauma or adverse experiences
3. Low confidence and self-esteem
4. Anxiety and attachment difficulties
These pupils thrive in smaller classes with personalised learning and strong relationships.
The Role
5. Full-time position starting January 2026 and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
6. Deliver engaging lessons to small groups of primary-aged pupils.
7. Support pupils with emotional regulation, resilience, and academic progress.
8. Work collaboratively with behaviour specialists and support staff.
Ideal Candidate
9. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
10. Experience teaching KS1 or KS2 pupils.
11. Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, empathetic approach.
12. Passionate about supporting pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
