Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mentor to provide guidance and support to a student one on one in the home.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with SEN students BSL learners would be an advantage. This role involves working closely with students one on one in the home supporting with learning visual aids and occasional BSL.

Duties

* Provide one-on-one mentoring to children, focusing on their individual learning needs and goals.
* Assist with academic subjects including speech therapy, maths, and physical education.
* Implement behaviour management strategies to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
* Develop and deliver tailored tutoring sessions that cater to the unique needs of each child.
* Utilise applied behaviour analysis techniques to support children with special educational needs.
* Communicate effectively with parents and educators regarding children's progress and challenges.
* Maintain accurate records of each child's development and achievements through proofreading reports and assessments.
* Create a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and learning through play.
* Support toddlers and preschool-aged children in their daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.

Qualifications

* Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
* Strong background in early childhood education or special education is highly desirable.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Familiarity with behaviour management techniques and applied behaviour analysis principles.
* Ability to teach various subjects including maths, physical education, and speech therapy concepts.
* Experience in tutoring or mentoring roles is an advantage.
