A well-regarded secondary school in Aylesbury is seeking a passionate and skilled Psychology Teacher to join their Humanities/Social Sciences department for an immediate or October start. Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Psychology lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5 (GCSE and A-Level)
* Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and national expectations
* Promote critical thinking, debate, and a love for psychological enquiry
* Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
* Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment
* Collaborate with colleagues on departmental and whole-school initiatives
Essential Criteria
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching Psychology at secondary level, preferably at GCSE and A-Level
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum and exam board specifications
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills
* A commitment to high standards and student achievement
Desirable
* Familiarity with current Psychology exam board specifications and assessment frameworks
* Willingness to engage in CPD and ongoing professional development
* Interest in contributing to extracurricular or enrichment activities
