Roadside Technician – Green Flag, base salary £37,000 + OTE up to £44,000

This is a permanent, field‑based role where you start and finish your day from home. You’ll work 40 hours across four days a week, on shifts between 7am–8pm, Monday to Sunday. Overtime is available — entirely your choice.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be the first point of help when drivers break down. Using your mechanical know-how, you’ll:
1. Diagnose faults roadside
2. Carry out tyre repairs/changes
3. Test, fit and replace batteries
4. Assist customers who have run out of fuel
5. Provide reassurance and clear explanations
6. Get vehicles moving wherever possible
You’ll be equipped with a fully kitted‑out Green Flag vehicle and the tools you need to do the job safely and effectively.

What you'll need:
We’re looking for people with a solid mechanical background and a passion for helping customers.
7. Full UK Category B driving licence and age 21+ (insurance requirement)
8. NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) or similar type of accreditation in light vehicle maintenance is preferred but not essential. If you have the work experience or have been through an apprenticeship we would also like to hear from you
9. Solid experience in the motor repair industry with strong diagnostic skills
10. Commitment to safe working practices and up-to-date repair techniques
11. Confident working independently with a calm, empathetic approach to customers
Experience working alone in the field is desirable but not essential — we’ll support you.
