Role title: Domestic Assistant
Location: Orchards Manor, Near Kings Lynn, Downham Market, PE34 3HT
Salary: £13,000 per annum
Hours: 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, 52 weeks

We are looking for a Domestic Assistant for our New Options Autism School – Orchards Manor School, Near Kings Lynn, Downham Market.
Job Responsibilities
* Provide the school with a high level of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the building layout.
* Promote the good reputation of the school by cleaning all areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
* Handle and use all equipment and chemicals correctly at all times, complying with manufacturer instructions, COSHH regulations, and health and safety legislation. Minimise waste.
* Carry out daily and weekly routines and any special cleaning duties as directed.
* Support other domestic team members to complete tasks that require extra staff.
* Assist in the operation of the laundry where necessary.
* Report compliments, comments, and complaints; report defects, damage, theft, breakages or hazards.
* Carry out duties safely with regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, staff, service users and others on site.
Experience
* Relevant experience of domestic duties
* Experience of effective cleaning practices
* Good working knowledge of domestic practices
* Knowledge of domestic duties including the use and storage of relevant products
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
About Us
Our New Options Autism School – Orchards Manor School is proposed to open in June 2025 and will have capacity for 72 pupils with a variety of complex needs including ASC. Options Autism has provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties for over 16 years. As part of Outcomes First Group, we lead the sector in setting and delivering new approaches with measurable outcomes.
