Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Youth Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting young people in their personal and educational development. This role involves working closely with children and adolescents, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help them navigate challenges and achieve their goals. The Youth Worker will play a crucial role in fostering a positive environment that encourages growth, learning, and self-esteem.
Responsibilities
* Engage with young people in various settings, including schools, community centres, and outdoor activities.
* Provide mentoring and support to help youth develop life skills, confidence, and resilience.
* Facilitate group activities that promote teamwork, communication, and social skills.
* Build trusting relationships with young people to encourage open communication and personal development.
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create comprehensive support plans for youth.
* Maintain accurate records of interactions
* Familiarity with youth work principles and practices is highly desirable.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect effectively with young people from diverse backgrounds.
