Role Purpose
This role sits within the corporate finance sector of CBRE and is an exciting opportunity for someone with an understanding and experience of working in a financial organisation to join a world class division, with fantastic career progression and the chance to make a significant impact.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the senior team in client service engagements
* Analyse and conduct due diligence on project (financial) information including structure documents, financial reports, financial models and projections, and asset data
* Develop financial modelling expertise, building and operating financial models in line with best practice processes
* Research into industry trends and dynamics and implications for clients
* Understanding of corporate and asset level valuation techniques and approaches
* Perform scenario analysis at portfolio, financial structure and vehicle level
* Assist in preparing documents including presentations, pitch books, information memoranda, transaction process documents and reports
* Liaise with other advisers (legal, accounting) and manage process timelines including key deliverables
* Input and review corporate transaction documentation including share purchase agreements, financing documentation, heads of terms, confidentiality agreements
* Liaise with geographic, asset class and function specialist teams within CBRE
* Promote innovation and commitment to work process improvement
* Build knowledge of property market (e.g. current activity, key players, trends) and different client types, including their commercial drivers and needs
Person Specification/Requirements
* Participating in or have completed Chartered Accountant, CFA or Investment Bank Analyst Programme, or equivalent
* A few years of relevant financial advisory experience
* Previous exposure to real estate businesses, assets, and vehicles is desirable
* Corporate advisory project or transaction experience, ideally in the real estate sector
* Pro‑active and enjoys working autonomously and as part of a wider team
* Confident and assertive where required
* Ability to prioritise and co‑ordinate tasks efficiently ensuring all deadlines are met
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
* Good IT skills (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
* Working knowledge of key financial data tools (Bloomberg)
