Humanities Teacher – Secondary SEND
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join our brand-new school, River Valley, based in Sheffield.
As a Humanities Teacher, your day will be varied, purposeful, and deeply rewarding. You will teach a range of Humanities subjects—such as History, Geography, RE, and Citizenship—to Secondary-aged SEND students, using a flexible structure that allows you to create engaging, accessible learning experiences. You will design bespoke, therapeutic educational frameworks tailored to each young person’s needs, interests, and learning pace.
You will work within a Trauma-Informed Practice model and be fully supported in applying therapeutic, relational approaches in the classroom. Our schools proudly hold the Attachment and Trauma Sensitive School Award.
In return, we offer a unique opportunity to join a growing, forward-thinking organisation during an exciting period of development. You will receive comprehensive training in Proactive Approaches and ongoing professional development to support your growth as an educator in a SEND setting.
Our young people have often experienced inconsistent relationships and disrupted education. We are therefore seeking committed, resilient, and compassionate teachers who want to make a lasting difference within a therapeutic, alternative education environment.
