We’re currently hiring once again for a Senior Engineer on behalf of modern, cloud-native SaaS business embedding AI and automation into daily workflows. No legacy drag. No painful upgrades. Just real-time visibility and performance at scale.
We’re looking for a Senior Engineer to help build and evolve high-impact product capabilities on Ruby on Rails, running on AWS. You’ll join a highly collaborative remote first engineering team that values clean design, pragmatism, and fast, safe delivery. You’ll also have the opportunity to leverage AI tooling (e.g., Claude, Cursor) to accelerate development and improve quality across the SDLC.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Ruby and Rails
- Deliver production-grade features on AWS, with a focus on reliability, performance and observability
- Champion engineering excellence through TDD, pair programming, and thoughtful code reviews
- Help shape technical direction, architecture decisions, and best practices across the team
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver customer value quickly and iteratively
- Use AI-assisted development tools (Claude/Cursor and similar) to improve productivity and quality, and help the team adopt effective workflows
- Contribute to continuous improvement across testing, deployment, monitoring and incident response
Person Requirements
- Min 5 years experience building software with Ruby | Ruby on Rails
- Strong engineering fundamentals: OO design, testing strategy, API design, and maintainable code
- Hands-on experience deploying and running applications on AWS (or equivalent cloud experience with transferable skills)
- Strong TDD mindset and experience working in a collaborative environment (pair programming preferred)
- Comfort working in a fast-moving SaaS environment where ownership and impact matter
- Interest in AI-enabled engineering workflows and practical experience using tools like Claude and/or Cursor is a plus
