They are looking for a passionate and qualified Learning Development Mentor to join their team. This role is pivotal in supporting their Sixth Form students in their academic journey, particularly those with specific learning difficulties. You will work collaboratively with teaching staff to help students reach their potential, providing both academic guidance and fostering personal development. The ideal candidate will possess: A Levels (or higher) and GCSE Mathematics and English (Grade 4 / C and above). A qualification in Dyslexia / SpLD or relevant training. Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting, particularly in delivering Mathematics and English support. Excellent communication and organisational skills. A commitment to inclusion and fostering a supportive learning environment. A proactive, flexible approach with a good sense of humour. Key responsibilities: Assist in promoting the learning and personal development of students with diverse needs. Deliver tailored Mathematics and English tutoring, focusing on GCSE resits and functional skills. Develop and monitor action plans for students facing specific difficulties, collaborating with staff and parents. Provide feedback on student progress to support their self-esteem and confidence. Contribute to the wider community at our client, engaging in extracurricular activities and school events.
