Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for an Apprentice Service Advisor to join the team at our Mercedes-Benz dealership located in Knowsley!
As part of this role you will undertake a 2-3 year apprenticeship, which will be provided by either Mercedes-Benz Training Academy, or an external training provider which we will confirm at the point of starting.
The apprenticeship may involve some overnight stays throughout the duration of the course, generally in 1-2 week blocks, which we will arrange with you. You will have the support of an experienced mentor onsite, as well as the wider team and dedicated time to complete online modules and training.
Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship you will be able to carry out the role of a Service Advisor.
* £6.40 per hour in your first year, after which rate is in line with National Minimum Wage

Key Purpose of the Job:
* To learn and qualify in being a Service Advisor which are responsible for;
* Being the first point of contact for the customer in relation to any service queries or requests
* The quality of the entire preparation and planning process for enquiries across multiple communication channels
* Mediating between the parts warehouse, workshop, customers and other internal departments
Accountabilities and experience you will gain:
* Raising and processing individual and bulk service bookings
* Raising job cards and ensuring all relevant documentation is attached
* Daily job checks
* Welcoming customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a smooth and positive customer journey
* Keeping customers informed of the status of their vehicle and providing advice when needed
* Developing and utilising knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation
* Keeping up to date with the most recent product information
* Making exact cost estimates and fixed prices, where necessary after prior agreement with technical and Workshop Manager
* Entering orders, extensions, sketches of paintwork, etc into systems
* Entering changes to vehicle and customer data into systems
* Filling in worksheets and test sheets relating to the order
* Carrying out quality control with respect to vehicles and orders as part of quality assurance
* Discussing payment with customers and, if necessary, negotiating special prices with Accounts
* Selling/advising on service contracts and seasonal/other services
Skills and Competencies Required:

Additional Information:
* This role is site based, therefore you must be able to commute to site for each scheduled shift
