SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Birmingham, B11 Daily Pay: £105 - £115 Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm (Term Time Only) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Long-term, Temp-to-Perm About the Role Are you a compassionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism (ASD) and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN) ? We are working with an Ofsted-rated "Good" primary school in Birmingham (B11), seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 and small group support. This long-term position offers the opportunity to become a permanent member of the school's nurturing team for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Support pupils with ASD and SLCN in 1:1 and small group settings. Implement tailored learning strategies to meet individual needs. Use SEN communication tools such as Makaton and visual timetables. Encourage independence, confidence, and emotional regulation. Collaborate with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver personalised interventions. Contribute to a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment. About You Experience supporting children with ASD, SLCN, or other special educational needs. A Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Education, or EYFS (or equivalent) is desirable. Confident in behaviour management and adapting to different learning styles. Patient, nurturing, and passionate about helping every child reach their potential.
