NRL are recruiting for a Senior Structural Engineer to support the design of critical infrastructure on a major nuclear project. Based in Warrington, this is a 12-month initial contract (inside IR35) – ideal for experienced engineers ready to lead from the front in a regulated environment.
This is your chance to:
Design key structural elements – portal frames, crane supports, RC rafts, walls, and slabs
Guide 3D model development and 2D drawing production with AutoCAD and Revit
Develop technical specifications and ensure design integrity through all phases
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver safe, buildable solutions
Fulfil the Designer role under CDM RegulationsYour Role:
We’re hiring for a proactive engineer who can:
Deliver and check structural designs to Eurocodes
Lead by example and mentor junior team members
Work confidently with steel and reinforced concrete
Operate effectively in a multi-disciplinary, regulated environmentYou’ll need to bring:
A degree in civil/structural engineering (Chartered status preferred)
Strong experience in steel and RC design – including crane loading
Proficiency in structural analysis tools (ideally Robot), Revit, and AutoCAD
Knowledge of CDM and ideally some nuclear or industrial project experience
Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a growing teamThe Details:
