We have an excellent opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-established, professional residential property business, based in Birmingham. This is Accounts Assistant position is a fantastic role for someone with experience in accounts or credit control who is looking to further develop their career within a friendly, professional finance team. Working Monday to Friday, youll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing payments, and supporting leaseholders with their account queries. In this varied and rewarding role, you will: Accurately receipt and allocate incoming payments to leaseholder accounts Monitor daily bank activity and upload transactions into the accounting system Investigate and resolve any payment discrepancies Carry out proactive credit control, following up on overdue accounts via phone and email Issue reminder letters and statements in line with company procedures Assist with service charge and ground rent demands Support month-end processes and financial reporting Respond to leaseholder queries with clarity and professionalism Provide day-to-day administrative support to the accounts team The ideal candidate will: Have previous experience in an Accounts Assistant, Finance, or Credit Control role Demonstrate strong numeracy skills and excellent attention to detail Be confident communicating with customers by phone and email Be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel Be a proactive team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude Experience in property or block management accounts and familiarity with accounting systems such as Blocks Online, Qube or similar would be advantageous, but not essential as full training will be provided.
