Responsibilities
As Team Leader you will lead and motivate a team of support workers, ensuring that excellent person‑centred care and support is delivered to people supported by Lifeways to enable them to live a fulfilling and independent life.
You will be involved in the recruitment of and the ongoing development of support workers by carrying out staff supervisions, candidate interviews and providing general guidance and expertise.
You will possess excellent communication skills to communicate effectively with staff, people we support and outside professionals. Good written communication and IT skills are also required for record keeping.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must hold a full UK Driving Licence and be willing to drive company cars.
Applicants with experience as a Care Team Leader/Senior Support Worker holding an NVQ/QCF in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) are preferred.
Dedicated Care Assistants or Carers with a solid track record and ambition to progress will be offered excellent training and ongoing development.
Personal care experience is required. The role will involve manual handling and support for people with learning difficulties, autism, challenging behaviours and some mobility issues.
Energetic, hard‑working individuals with a good sense of humor and patience are sought. The service encourages community engagement, including shopping and other enjoyable activities.
