Who You Are / Your Next Challenge
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payment Analyst to join our Payments Operations team at Moneycorp on a full-time/permanent contract, based in our Coventry Office, West Midlands. The role reports directly to the Operations Team Leader. The primary responsibility is to ensure customer payments are processed accurately, timely, and compliantly.
You will operate within a designated payments team, which is part of the wider Payments Operations function covering FX settlements, reconciliations, and cash allocations for the international payments business.
This is an entry-level role; previous experience in payment processing is not necessary. It offers an opportunity to learn about payments and all areas of payment operations within a global FinTech payments business. Success in this role requires sharp attention to detail, the ability to follow processes consistently at a high standard, and a proactive attitude to learning.
What we’re looking for / Skills that will help you in the role
1. High interest in moving into a role processing FX, settlements, and reconciliations activities.
2. Prior experience with day-to-day banking and reconciliation activities such as client money reconciliations, cash management, and settlement of FX trades.
3. Some understanding of AML and Compliance requirements.
4. Proficient at establishing credibility quickly and building relationships with a range of stakeholders.
5. Effective communication skills (both oral and written), ability to stay calm under pressure, and meet deadlines.
6. Solution-focused approach with the ability to make objective, evidence-based decisions and influence recommendations using insights.
7. Resilience to change, with the confidence to adapt and support new situations.
8. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think independently and draw conclusions.
9. Some knowledge of the banking sector, specifically around payments and FX products (desirable).
This role is a great opportunity for someone eager to take on a fundamental position within Payments Operations, involved in multiple projects within an established, growing international organization. It offers significant scope for strategic and operational self-development.
