We are seeking a Graduate Bid Manager with a proactive 'can do' attitude to join our Business Capture team. This role offers a graduate/ early career professional the opportunity to develop their skills and experience needed to progress into a full Bid Manager role.
As a Graduate Bid Manager, you will contribute to the capture and bidding of projects across the business units, supporting the creation of competitive and customer-focused proposals. You will work alongside experienced Bid Managers and stakeholders across Sales, Finance, Commercial, Operations, and In-Service Support, gaining hands-on exposure to the full project lifecycle while gradually taking ownership of smaller bids and defined bid workstreams.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include:
* Supporting the preparation of bids and proposals, including drafting responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and coordinating input from functional teams.
* Managing smaller, less complex bids under supervision, with responsibility for meeting submission requirements and deadlines.
* Working with key stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Commercial, Operations, In-Service Support) to gather inputs and align on requirements.
* Contributing to the development of win strategies by sales, supporting Bid Managers in aligning solutions to customer needs and company strengths.
* Assisting with cost modelling and reviewing inputs from technical and commercial teams to ensure completeness and accuracy.
* Supporting the identification and documentation of risks and opportunities associated with each bid.
* Helping to prepare business case presentations and governance materials for internal reviews.
* Participating in project handovers post-contract award, ensuring smooth knowledge transfer to delivery teams.
* Contributing to continuous improvement/ lean initiatives within the Business Capture team.
* Performing all duties in accordance with company values and governance processes.
What you'll bring
The role of Graduate Bid Manager requires the following skills and experience:
* Degree qualified (or in final year of study) in a relevant subject such as Business, Finance, Management, Engineering, or similar.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, persuasive proposals.
* Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
* Commercial awareness and an understanding of business risk.
* Strong interpersonal skills and confidence to work with stakeholders across different business functions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* A proactive mindset, willingness to learn, and desire to build a career in business capture management.
