National Income Service Income Recovery Officer - 32301
Job Description
The National Income Service (NIS) is responsible for managing over 100,000 invoices and collecting approximately £400m of regulatory charges and fees. This role is part of the National Income Service Business Improvement Team, working across the country to maximise income recovery.
Key Responsibilities
* Support organisational delivery objectives by maximising income recovery.
* Engage customers through written and verbal communication to discuss outstanding payments.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
* Respond to incidents as required, which may attract additional payment.
* Analyse data to support work activities and translate findings into actionable steps.
* Contribute to continuous improvement and teamwork within a dispersed team.
Experience and Skills Required
* Target‑driven and motivated individuals.
* Preferred experience in debt collections or customer service roles.
* Confidence producing and analysing data.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to share findings via written and verbal formats.
* Resilient, able to manage varied workload and prioritise effectively.
* Comfortable working independently in a dispersed team.
Contract Length
Up to 12 months.
