Independent School Teacher : September 2025 : Permanent post. A leading Tower Hamlets prep school is seeking to appoint an Independent School Teacher to join their supportive and friendly small team from ASAP on a full-time basis.
This small 1 form entry independent prep school caters for students aged 3 to 11. The school offers a bilingual environment with both French and English curricula, provides varied extracurricular activities, and has excellent resources for staff. Class sizes are small, up to 15 pupils per class, and there is a positive ethos with strong pastoral care.
Location: Canary Wharf area.
Position Details
* As an Independent School Teacher, you will ensure KS2 pupils receive high-quality education designed to promote excitement, enjoyment and enthusiasm in learning, leading to the pursuit of excellence.
* Create an atmosphere where pupils feel valued and where personal endeavour and responsibility are fostered.
* Experience and skills to prepare students for common entrance exams, as many pupils move on to selective Independent Schools.
* There is some planning involved, but the majority has been planned and will need updating to reflect student progress.
Requirements
* To be considered, you must hold either a Bachelor of Education or a PGCE.
* QTS is required; relevant experience in a similar environment is essential.
* Experience in a bilingual/independent school context is desirable but not essential.
