We have an outstanding opportunity for a Category Buyer to join our well-established Health Category team, supporting several upcoming projects. You will manage a delegated category portfolio to implement strategic sourcing, develop customer relationships, and strengthen relationships with existing key suppliers.

This position is predominantly home-based, with an expectation to attend our Salford office once or twice per month or as required by business needs.
What you'll be doing:
* Acting as the first point of contact for collaborators at all levels, supporting and assisting efficiently to establish and build relationships.
* Delivering strategic procurement and commercial services for our Public Sector client partners with an allocated category portfolio.
* Supporting Category Managers with data collection and analysis to predict forecasts and trends, handle customer feedback.
* Supporting the wider team with administrative tasks.
* Conducting market research and gathering intelligence to support contract decisions, innovation adoption, evaluation, and award processes.
* Supporting the end-to-end tender process, ensuring all parties are well-informed.
What you’ll bring:
* Experience working within a procurement environment.
* Experience handling shared mailboxes.
* Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Project management skills.
It would be great if you had:
* CIPS qualification or willingness to undertake it.
* Experience or knowledge of working with the NHS and/or Public Sector.
* Knowledge of Procurement Contract Regulations 2015 and the New Procurement Act 2023.
* Experience with Procurement ERP systems and eSourcing tools.
