Proactive Personnel are currently recruiting for an Administrator on a temporary basis for a new care home opening up in the next coming weeks. This is temporary however can lead to a permanent position for the right person.
Temporary Administrator. Old Malton
1. Contract: Temporary (with potential to become permanent)
2. Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
3. Salary: £13.51 per hour
4. Start Date: Immediate
5. Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends
6. This is a lone working role during the pre-opening phase. The successful candidate will be the sole team member on-site, responsible for independently managing the marketing suite and handling all visitor enquiries.
Our client are seeking a proactive and professional Administrator to take the lead in managing the marketing suite at our brand-new Manor Park Care Home, ahead of its official opening in Mid-September. This is a unique opportunity to be the first point of contact for prospective residents and their families, playing a key role in shaping first impressions and supporting the pre-opening phase of the home.
You will be responsible for handling enquiries, coordinating visits, and ensuring a welcoming and informative experience for all visitors. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative experience who is confident, organised, and passionate about delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities (Temporary Phase)
7. Act as the first point of contact for all marketing suite enquiries and visits.
8. Provide guided tours and information to prospective residents and families.
9. Maintain accurate records of enquiries and room availability.
Additional Responsibilities (If Role Becomes Permanent)
10. Support the Home Manager with daily administrative tasks and operational readiness.
11. Process weekly staff hours and assist with monthly payroll.
12. Ensure HR documentation is up to date, including Right to Work, contracts, and DBS checks.
13. Coordinate recruitment and onboarding processes for new staff.
14. Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance and readiness for opening.

What We’re Looking For
24. Strong administrative experience, ideally in a customer-facing role.
25. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
26. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident working independently.
27. Comfortable using digital systems to manage data.
28. Experience in HR or payroll processes is desirable for the permanent role.
