Job Title: Material Handler Forklift

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Material Handler Forklift operator to join our team. You will undergo a comprehensive two-month training program to learn about different types of metals and become certified in operating sit down forklifts. This role involves pulling materials within the warehouse, verifying orders, setting up and operating a saw, and assisting customers with their orders.
Responsibilities
* Operate sit down forklifts to pull materials within the warehouse.
* Measure materials to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
* Set up and program the saw for cutting operations.
* Make initial cuts and verify dimensions before completing the order.
* Assist customers with their orders and handle inquiries.
* Input orders into the computer system efficiently.
Essential Skills
* At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
* 6+ months of measuring experience.
* 6+ months of forklift experience.
* Proficiency in computer skills for order entry.
* Ability to read and understand tape measures.
* Valid driver's license.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Experience within the metals or steel industry is highly preferred.
* Prior warehouse experience is preferred.
* Caliper experience is beneficial but training will be provided.
* Basic math and fraction skills are required.

Work Environment
The role operates in a non-air-conditioned warehouse, requiring a Monday to Friday shift from 8 am to 5 pm with a one-hour lunch break. The environment can be hot, and employees are required to wear pants, tee shirts, and steel-toed footwear.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of POMPANO BEACH, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $17.00/hr.
