The Role
This is a hands-on role within the paint facility, responsible for preparing, finishing, and inspecting components to ensure they meet exacting quality standards. Working as part of a close-knit production team, you'll support day-to-day paint operations, maintain equipment, and contribute to ongoing improvements in process efficiency and finish quality.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare and finish components to a high standard, including surface preparation and priming
2. Mix and apply paints or coatings to achieve consistent finishes
3. Inspect work for quality, identifying and correcting defects where necessary
4. Maintain paint equipment and ensure it remains in safe working order
5. Follow all health and safety procedures, including PPE use and safe handling of materials
6. Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure production targets are met
7. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the paint process
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
8. Previous experience in a paint, coatings, or surface finishing role within a production environment
9. Ability to work accurately and maintain high standards of quality
10. Knowledge of surface preparation, mixing, and application techniques
11. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
12. Commitment to safe working practices
Desirable:
13. Relevant training or qualifications in paint or coating technologies
14. Experience using paint spraying or finishing equipment
15. Understanding of quality assurance and inspection processes
