Purpose of the role You will be responsible for developing holistic and integrated trade marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer experience, retail sales results and category objectives. You will work across multiple channels, ensuring that all materials engage both our trade partners and end consumers to drive conversion and grow penetration in the contact lens category. What to expect: Develop multifaceted cross-channel marketing communications covering high street chains, independent practices and online Lead, co-ordinate and deliver the instore execution of core initiatives, working in close collaboration with key customers to bring our brand plans to life Leverage category and market data, together with customer specific data and media channels to tailor and run customized activation and promotions Build relationships with our key customers and become the go-to contact for all elements of trade marketing Ensure open dialogue with category and marketing colleagues to stay up to date with key trends and brand strategies. Develop positive relationships with commercial teams across different channels to understand the key challenges and opportunities Leverage insights to translate into meaningful customer plans Nurture and maintain effective working relationships with J&Js appointed external agents. Ensure quality briefs are delivered in a timely manner, and projects are delivered on time, in full and at a competitive rate Strive to deliver a strong return on investment, sharing learnings and driving future optimisation. B Report and share competitor activities across all channels, assessing performance changes as a result and clear direction back to the organization on whether the activations were successful for future planning and consideration. Assume all activations have digital elements Plan and executing integrated digital workstreams Support at trade shows / customer events and ensure stores are equipped and set up for success Day to day management of 1 direct report Who are we looking for? Required Experience in Shopper / Trade Marketing roles, with the ability to think both creatively and commercially Strong experience planning, crafting and executing bespoke shopper / trade marketing plans across multiple channels Experience working with external agencies - managing relationships and developing effective working habits Project management experience is critical. Prioritization and organizational skills to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines Excellent communication, collaboration and networking skills across multiple levels and functions both internally and externally Excellent analytical and interpretational skills to determine and review activation plans Positive, proactive approach with a passion for improving shopper experiences Preferred Experience working with High Street retailers, healthcare/medical/pharma experience also useful but not essential Evidence of successful team leadership and development Maximum and flexible availability to attend external meetings at the customer’s discretion to ensure needs are met and projects are delivered in a timely manner (up to 30% of time at customer meetings, at various UK locations) Wokingham based, expectation 3 days per week in office or at customer meetings Full, clean driving license What type of mark will YOU make?
