We are currently recruiting for a FLT Driver / manufacturing labourer to join our precision engineering client based in Elland (HX5).
Role is a permanent opportunity.
Pay rate:
£13.50 - £14.00 per hours.
Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.00 pm
Friday 7.30am - 3-15pm
This is a hands-on, varied role that involves supporting both the production and warehouse teams, ensuring materials and components are handled safely and efficiently.
Main Responsibilities:
Operate forklift trucks to move materials and components safely across site.
Empty swarf skips and assist with cleaning CNC machines as required.
Unload and load deliveries and collections from wagons and vans.
Fetch raw materials for machinists and ensure a smooth flow of work to production.
Move completed components into the warehouse and update relevant storage locations.
Support with picking, packing, and general warehouse duties when required.
Maintain high housekeeping standards, keeping work areas clean and organised.
Occasionally carry out van driving duties for collections and deliveries (full UK driving licence required).
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Counterbalance FLT licence (current or recently expired considered).
Confident carrying out hands-on, physical tasks and working to deadlines.
Good understanding of health & safety and manual handling procedures.
Flexible, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Full, clean UK driving licence essential for occasional delivery duties.
