 
        
        Mechanical Fitter + £35-38k + Permanent role + Days Mon-Friday (lunch time finish on a Friday)
Our client based in Northwich are looking for a Mechanical Fitter to join their team on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities of the Mechanical Fitter role:
 * Hand on experience mechanical fitting
 * Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, specifications and work instructions
 * Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment
 * Align material and fit together parts to build more complex units
 * Support installation on customer sites (limited travel required)
 * Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
 * Carry out point of work risk assessments when required as part of the machine build process, documenting findings and communicarting to all.
 * Proactively look at ways of continuous improvement
 * Ensure health and safety prcedures are always observed and adhered to, following HSE rules & regulations, including the safe use of PPE.
 * Ensure all work is completed in a safe and timely mannerand where required details of work carried out is reported to the relevant supervisor and recorded.
 * Good understanding of quality control processes
 * Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships
 * Ensure all documentation related to HSE is filled correctly on the system
 * Support all quality rekated issues by means of reportings and training.
Mechanical Fitter knowledge, skills and experience:
Completed a recognised Mechanical engineering apprenticeship, city & guilds mechanical qualification, a relevant NVQ Level 3, or time served.
Experience in a recognised role
Minimum 3 years working in a capital equipment manufacturer would be preferred but is not essential
