Associate Director of Operations (Women & Children)

Department: Women & Children. Band: 8d. Pay: £91,342 – £105,337 per annum, pro rata. Full‑time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible working considered.
Role Overview
We are seeking an exceptional operational leader to drive the delivery of all patient services within the Women & Children portfolio. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will take strategic and operational responsibility, ensuring high standards of care while meeting performance targets including RTT and cancer waiting times. You will shape the long‑term direction of the division, aligning service development with the Trust’s strategic ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
* Strategic and operational responsibility for the delivery of all patient services within the portfolio.
* Ensure the highest standards of care while meeting demanding national and local performance targets, including RTT and cancer waiting times.
* Help shape the long‑term direction of the division, aligning service development with the Trust’s strategic ambitions.
* Set and deliver a multidisciplinary Division and CSU strategy and vision that enables delivery of the Trust objectives.
* Close monitoring and analysis of Divisional budgets to inform the Trust Executive Committee (TEC) on areas of concern and mitigation to achieve financial balance.
* Contribute to the strategy and aspirations of the Trust and act consistently with the values, acting as a broker/bridge between health economy‑wide decisions and operational delivery.
* Deliver and clearly communicate to staff a multidisciplinary Division and CSU strategy and vision that enables delivery of the Trust strategy.
