Working with a fantastic business in Birmingham, we are recruiting for a Freight OperationsManager.
The primary focus will be Road and Ocean Freight, But knowledge of Air, along with Customs and Sales experience is an advantage. So an "all-rounder" would be perfect.
Managing a busy team, you will have:
* Demonstrable exposure to Road and Seafreight within a freight forwarding environment.
* Strong operational knowledge of freight suppliers, hauliers, and forwarding networks, with a sales background.
* Sound Customs knowledge.
* Commercial awarenesswith the ability to balance Customer Serviceand profitability.
* Excellent negotiation skills along with industry contacts.
* Hands-on leadership style with the ability to step into operational detail when required.
* Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused.
* Clear communicator, able to explain operational and commercial decisions effectively.
* Ambitious, accountable and motivated to grow with the business.
