About the Role
We are looking for individuals who are hard working and work well as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will have a passion about improving the local environment for both residents and visitors to Gateshead.
What You'll Get To Do
* Remove fly tipping throughout the Borough
* Assist in clean up operations carried out Borough-wide
* Assist in the maintenance of Parks and other Council owned structures
* Respond to urgent removals of waste that may be blocking highways
* Use technology, operate and receive jobs through mobile devices
* Deliver excellent customer service and work as part of a team
* Be flexible and follow instructions from Technical Supervisor and Manager
* Follow Health & Safety guidelines, generic risk assessments and carry out dynamic risk assessments where required
* Work in other areas of the service as and when required
* Other suitable responsibilities as allocated appropriate to the grade of the post
