Head of Department – Conveyancing Solihull
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Department to provide professional leadership, supervise a high-performing team and deliver an excellent legal service to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and inspire a team of fee earners, ensuring high standards of performance and client service
* Monitor case handling, workloads, targets, budgets and financial performance
* Drive growth by identifying opportunities to increase fee-earning capacity and business development
* Work collaboratively with other Heads of Department to ensure consistency of service delivery
* Recruit, coach, develop and retain talented team members, including trainees
* Conduct supervision, appraisals, one-to-ones and performance management
* Provide technical support on complex or high-profile cases
* Ensure compliance with Lexcel and quality assurance standards
* Oversee file reviews, time recording, debt management and client feedback
* Handle complaints at first instance to ensure positive client outcomes
About You:
* Proven leadership and people management experience
* Strong financial, operational and strategic awareness
* Excellent client care and technical legal skills
* A role model who leads by example and drives team success
* 10 Years and above PQE
