The School of Natural Sciences is seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Lecturer to join their academic team. The role will be responsible for working collaboratively towards School and University aims. The successful applicant will provide innovative and engaging teaching to students on programmes in the School, alongside research in Forensic Science. A willingness to contribute to the continued development and enhancement of our teaching portfolio would also be an advantage.
Assistant Lecturers are employed to develop and deliver their own teaching materials for Chemistry and Forensic Science seminars, workshops, lab practical’s, set and mark assessments, and actively input to course development and curriculum changes.
Please note this role is a part time and fixed term role where applicants will be required for term time only.
As Lecturer in Forensic Scienceyou can expect to be involved in:
* Developing and delivering own teaching materials for seminar, workshop, and lab groups for Chemistry and Forensic Science groups.
* Setting and marking assignments including assessing student progress and providing quality feedback to students.
* Collaborating with academic colleagues on course development and curriculum changes
What will you bring to the role?
* A degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline PhD in Forensic Science, or equivalent experience/qualification
* PGCHE or similar teaching qualification or the willingness to study towards one
* An advanced knowledge of the relevant subject area
