As an apprentice, you will acquire fundamental knowledge necessary to work in a protective coatings manufacturing environment and prepare for a career as a proactive and innovative member of the Quality Control team. The role involves participating in project work and QC testing of products prior to dispatch. You will learn the basics of quality, coating production, development, testing, and the delivery process to the marketplace. Working alongside highly skilled professionals, your operational knowledge will grow significantly during the apprenticeship.

GCSE grade 4+ in Maths and English
Responsibilities
During the apprenticeship, you will undertake a structured training program in Quality Operations with comprehensive on-the-job training. You will learn about all operational areas from product creation to market delivery.
Responsibilities include:
* Training and competency in the safe and effective operation of QC equipment
* Working towards and successfully completing the Level 3 apprenticeship
* Contributing to improvement activities, aiming to reduce costs without compromising quality
* Supporting the effective operation of the team by adopting flexible working practices
* Completing assigned tasks within deadlines, following procedures and SOPs
* Assisting in developing 6S standards in communal areas
* Proactively suggesting process improvements and encouraging team participation
* Undertaking training positively for self-development and departmental coverage
* Fostering a team-oriented culture within and across departments
* Maintaining effective communication within and between teams
* Ensuring proactive adherence to all H&S and security requirements
