We are looking for a talented and motivated Technical Director to join our highly successful Building Control team, based in our Solent office.
What does the role involve?
The Technical Director is a senior technical role within the Building Control team. You will lead large‑scale, complex projects including healthcare, education, and commercial high‑rise residential, as well as ensure that prospects, proposals and tenders are submitted in accordance with Sweco processes. You’ll also help develop and monitor the technical team members by sharing experience and knowledge.
Key Deliverables
* Work in accordance with the Building Regulations, Building Act, Approved Documents, Building Control Performance Standards and RICS professional Standards.
* Take responsibility for contractual liability in bids submitted.
* Negotiate the risk profile within a contract to generate new business opportunities.
* Attend and positively contribute to Board and Director meetings through the application of experience, independent thought and alignment with agreed strategy.
To Be Successful In This Role You’ll Possess
* Experience in a similar role.
* MRICS, MCABE, MCIOB membership or equivalent.
* The ability to influence and mentor.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
