Health & Safety and Warehouse Coordinator
Location: Wellingborough (Fully On‑Site)
Working Hours: Monday‑Friday, flexible start times available. Shift options: 07:30‑16:00, 08:00‑16:30, 08:30‑17:00.
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per annum.
Overview
We’re working with a specialist construction engineering organisation that supports major building projects across the UK. The role is a hands‑on operational position that blends health and safety ownership with warehouse operations coordination. It’s designed for someone who enjoys being out on the floor, influencing teams, and improving safety standards.
The Role
Dual‑responsibility Position Combining: 60% Health & Safety ownership, 40% Warehouse operations coordination.
Key Responsibilities
* Own site health and safety processes and compliance.
* Maintain risk assessments, COSHH assessments, and safe systems of work.
* Ensure procedures meet current legislation requirements.
* Conduct regular site inspections and monthly reviews.
* Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
* Introduce and manage near‑miss reporting initiatives.
* Monitor and report safety KPIs.
* Deliver safety training, coaching, and inductions.
* Support First Aid and Fire Marshal compliance programmes.
* Liaise with external partners including Worknest and HSE.
* Review and improve policies and procedures.
* Promote a proactive safety culture across the site.
* Support daily warehouse coordination activities.
* Assist with labour planning and workflow prioritisation.
* Support shipment sign‑off where required.
* Provide Shift Supervisor cover when needed.
* Act as Assistant to the Warehouse Manager.
* Help maintain smooth operational continuity across site.
* Work closely with teams to improve efficiency and safety standards.

Essential Experience & Qualifications
* NEBOSH Level 3 (minimum).
* NEBOSH Level 4 (desirable).
* Experience owning health and safety processes within an operational site.
* Background within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, engineering, or construction‑support environments preferred.
* Strong experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance frameworks.
* Proven track record improving safety processes and culture.
* Comfortable working cross‑functionally with operational teams.
